About Billiards Club

Billiards Club is 8-ball pool on a regulation 9-foot table, built in real-time 3D. The balls are simulated as rolling and sliding spheres rather than as flat discs: a ball struck below centre skids with backspin and screws back after contact, one struck above centre follows through, and side spin changes the angle it takes off a cushion. Cloth friction, cushion rebound and pocket jaws use real-world values, so a soft roll down the rail drops while a fast ball can rattle out of the jaws. The game follows the usual 8-ball rules — open table after the break, groups decided by the first legal pot, ball in hand after a foul, and the 8 only once your group is cleared. Play the computer, whose aim and shot selection improve level by level, take turns with a friend on one device, or play someone online, where the server referees every shot so both players see exactly the same table.

How to Play Billiards Club

  1. 1Aim by dragging sideways (or, in the view from above, by touching where you want the cue ball to go). The white line shows the first ball you will hit and where it will travel.
  2. 2Pull the power bar down and let go to strike. On a keyboard: arrow keys aim, hold Space for power.
  3. 3Tap the cue-ball icon to choose where the tip hits: high for follow, low for draw (screw back), left or right for side spin off the cushions.
  4. 4After the break, the first ball you pocket decides your group: solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15). Pocket a ball of your group to keep shooting.
  5. 5Hitting the other group first, missing everything, scratching the cue ball or hitting nothing to a cushion is a foul — your opponent gets the cue ball in hand anywhere.
  6. 6Clear your group, then pocket the 8 to win. Pocket the 8 early or scratch on it and you lose.
